Getting Started...

I always find it odd that the posts on these things run from the latest post down, so you have to scroll to the bottom of the page to read what's been happening in any sort of order! I shall investigate to see if I can't get the layout changed.

Malc and Janie are now signed on to leave posts on the blog...so if any of you other Inn Theatre types want to leave actual blogs, e-mail me and I'll sign you on. It would be nice to have a cross-section of everyone involved in the production leaving their thoughts of not only the process of getting the play to the performance stage but how they feel about what goes on and how they view the journey.

Getting the play up and running, ready for the audiences to come filing into auditorium (grand name for a car park on a cliff top, isn't it? But for that week, that is exactly what it is, the field of dreams!) is not just about rehearsing and measuring bits and pieces...thanks Janie! - it's also about getting people to sit in that auditorium and watch the culmination of all that hard work.
This gives you an idea of the area where the action takes place - this is a rehearsal at the Castle for the 2007 production of 'A Midsummer Nights Dream'. The pointy person is the Assistant Director who, we hope (once she learns what to do!) will be leaving her thoughts about this do.

And getting people into the 'field' is what Malc and Barb and I were doing yesterday morning, along with Phil, in his role as local newhound rather than leading man! Publicity shots for an article about the Sugary Cove Project (for those who would know more, go to http://www.theinntheatrecompany.co.uk/ and all will be revealed!) and this years production.

Hope to be getting the t-shirts sorted by week's end - and yes, there will be some different types for the ladies! - just waiting to hear the answers to a few questions I've asked of the company.

So let me know if you want to blog. Drop me a line.
